I am not sure how the UN measures emigration rates, but it has 51.2% of emigrants from Singapore choosing to reside elsewhere in Asia. Funny, I thought it would be North America or Australia. What accounts for this? Malaysians who take up Singapore citizenship to get the HDB flat, work in Singapore, then retire in Malaysia?
